Hello!

Hi! I’m Ms. Rui, and I’m so happy you’re here.
If you are looking for a teacher who sees your child as a unique individual—someone who makes learning fun while ensuring real musical progress—I would love to work with you. At Blooming Piano Studio, I don’t just teach notes; I mentor young artists.
I believe music is a powerful tool for personal growth. Whether your child is 4 or 18, my goal is to help them find their own 'bloom' and build a foundation that enriches their life forever.
Having recently moved to Evanston, I am so excited to plant roots and build a vibrant musical community right here in my new home. I can’t wait to meet your family and start this adventure together!
My Story
Music has been my life's work for over 30 years. My journey began in Japan, where I was recognized as a young pianist with a Silver medal in the Chopin Competition at age 12. By 18, my performances were being broadcast on radio and TV, and I eventually had the joy of performing in concert halls across 13 countries, including Italy, Austria, and France.
In 2011, I moved to America to study at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. I was honored to receive a full scholarship and graduate with honors, earning both a Master’s Degree and an Artist Diploma.
Throughout my career, I’ve won many international awards—from the Grand Prix in Japan to the International Chopin Piano Competition in Hartford. Today, I use that high-level professional experience to help my students reach their own goals, whether that is performing at talent show, playing for family members during holidays, or earning prestigious RCM or ABRSM certifications. Let's start musical journey with me!
